Pink Pagoda Fairy
My friend Maple lives on the west coast, but was going to be visiting for a week or two to take a course - so I made a costume in the style of her creations so we could do a photo shoot together while she was in town <3. Lilies are my favourite flower ever, so I picked one with colours I like and an interesting pattern to use for the inspiration for a fairy costume. The dress is made from a Simplicity pattern with minor alterations, and the wings are made from aluminium wire frames with white tights for the surface, and then painted to match the dress.
The make-up is different each time I've worn it which is a little unfortunate, but I'm OK with that. Maple did my make-up when we wore our costumes together, and I've been experimenting with whatever is in my drawer for subsequent wears.
Current status: retired / for sale
