The Owl House was a delight to discover as a bright light in the darkness of 2020, and so it didn't take much of a push from my friends to pick a cosplay. I toyed with the idea of Eda the Owl Lady, since she's much more age-appropriate than all the kids, but of course I was drawn to Amity more (and she has a much more manageable wig LOL).
I coloured and rooted the wig myself and sewed the school uniform from scratch, using stash fabrics as much as possible. My main accessory is "The Good Witch Azura" book, which is simply a sticker I got from RedBubble on a blank notebook from Michael's (for future use as a planner once the cosplay is retired).

I entered Amity in the Con-G masquerade in 2024, but not just this Amity, all three of my Amity costumes! I tried to do it like a sitcom opening montage, and I think it turned out at least OK!

Amity Blight (season 3)
Amity Blight (season 3, ep 1)
Amity has so many cute outfits that I'd been wanting to make another one for a while, and when the first episode/part of season 3 came out just a few weeks before Youmacon 2022, I decided that I had to do one of the ensembles from that episode for my first visit to the con. I went thrifting with a few options in mind, and in the end the outfit here is the one I could find the right clothes for.
I customized the sweater with a fleece applique made from scraps, cut up an old pair of jeans, and grabbed boots from my stash. The wig is a pigtail base-wig which is for an (as yet) not made cosplay, so I just sewed some very short brown wefts to the crown as "roots", since I don't want to do anything irreversible. After the first wear I sculpted a "Palisman" staff for her to carry as a prop. It's not my best work (I really struggled getting the foam clay smooth) but it gets the point across, and maybe someday I'll have time to smooth out the lumps.
The costume ended up being a great comfy choice, and it will be staying in the rotation for sure!

Amity Blight (snow outfit)
In December 2023 I was trying to figure out a fun way to make one of my current cosplays "Christmasy" like we used to do for holiday conventions, and ended up settling on making Amity's snow/winter outfit from season 1 of the show. Knowing this outfit would see limited wear I tried to use as much as possible from my stash, and constructed the coat in a way that would allow me to use it as a bath robe in daily life. The coat and ear muffs were the only items not recycled from my closet or other costumes, and the only fabric I had to buy was the light purple for the main coat fabric.
The costume ended up getting even more wear than expected, since I was able to use it for Con-G (video above) as well as our trip to the Colorado mountains!
