Iron Man (Marvel Cinematic Universe)
Pepper Potts (Iron Man)
I love Pepper Potts in the Iron Man films. Just sayin'. She's smart, organized, capable, and able to handle everything that Tony Stark throws her way. And let's not forget sassy. I think the dynamic between her and Tony is fantastic. Much like my affection for Batman, my Iron Man fandom stems from the movies as opposed to the comics, so when my friends were discussing going to see Iron Man 3 on opening day, I saw an opportunity for the easiest costume I've ever put together. This is probably the only truly "closet" cosplay I have ever done, since I usually end up buying or altering something, but everything for Pepper came straight from my wardrobe. Even my hair already worked. The only effort involved in this first iteration of the outfit was printing out the tiny Stark Industries logo for my lapel pin.
I'm not quite as well-dressed as Gweneth is in the movies, but I think that the look works for me; I'm not exactly on the Stark Industries pay grade after all.
I added an accessory for when I wore the costume at Anime North by modding a clear plastic clipboard into an illuminated Stark Tech tablet - at "Stark Pad" as my friends call it. Photos of the tablet alone are on my Crafts & Accessories page. For Tri-Con we added my own RT (referencing the Invincible Iron Man "Stark Resilient" story arc), but unfortunately it's barely visible at all in photos.

It probably shouldn't come as a surprise that Stark Reality Cosplay and I are "Pepperony" shippers, and that we decided to do some casual/fanservicey cosplay on New Years Eve. Since it really was a last-minute thing, my outfit is not anything in particular from the movies, just my own dress and playing up the character. Photos by Christina Lord, Kitchener Ontario.

Pepper Potts (Avengers)
I was on a real Pepper kick after cutting my hair for ConBravo, so I wanted to continue to cosplay her at Atomic Lollipop the following weekend, but office attire really isn't appropriate for A-pop. So I threw together some "stealth" cosplay... what I'm calling Pepper's "12% of a moment" outfit from the beginning of Avengers. And it worked really well as stealth - at a couple of points, people who I had been playing a card game with for nearly an hour suddenly said "Hey, wait, you're cosplaying!!" So that was fun. While I was too busy running from event to event to get any serious photos at A-Pop, I did do some nice outdoor photos later on in the summer, and a few indoors at Tri-Con.

Extremis Pepper Potts (Iron Man 3)
This is not one of the most accurate costumes I've put together. I mean, my bra is wrong, my wig is wrong, I could be in much better shape, and it's very obvious that the glove is my first attempt at armour. And, ya know, I'm not glowing from the inside-out LOL. But it's a just-for-fun costume; something a lot less "stealth" in terms of being a costume than my other Pepper outfits.
The sports bra and yoga pants were purchased as-is, and most of the armour (a mk. IX if anyone is wondering) was made by Stark Reality Cosplay as a gift. He did the entirety of the arm, while the hand was more of a collaboration. I cut out all the little hand pieces, he glued it together, and I painted and did the final assembly. I also made the base glove underneath, not that it's visible.
The photos below with Stark Reality as Iron Man and Dan the Video Ninja as Bruce Banner at Atomic Lollipop were fun... but my wig was just a placeholder, and so was my repulsor. The glove wasn't finished yet either. Second batch of photos are from my #Team Pepper meet-up with Barbie Wi (as Hot Pepper and Hot Mess Pepper LOL) with new wig and finished armour. I hope to get some more photos now that the upgrades are finished, especially an Iron Man 3 shoot with Mr Stark!
