Costume Quest
Space Warrior
I heard about the adorableness of Costume Quest shortly after it came out, but it was only in the summer for 2015 that I sat down and played through it. And of course, I had to add a costume from the game to my cosplay list! I have friends who already have or are planning CQ costumes, so the hope is to have a big group shoot sometime *_*
*update: we did get together a group shoot in 2018! Featuring Straywind as Candy Corn, Kiirokishi as Pumpkin, Rin as Unicorn, and Pan as the Statue of Liberty; shot by Elemental.
I think that the Space Warrior design is super cute and I figured it would be an easy (and low-budget) casual cosplay given my skill set. The clothing is all purchased, but I dyed the boots from tan to red; built the rocket pack out of pop bottles, tape, and wide elastic; and the helmet is a bowl with visor made out of a plastic folder and pop bottle caps. Just about everything used came from the dollar store or a clothing outlet.
